Egypt is preparing to swear in its new president. Before his official inauguration, however, Mohamed Morsi took matters into his own hands, taking a symbolic oath in front of the people. The president-elect read the symbolic oath in front of tens of thousands of supporters in Cairo’s Tahrir Square. The move is seen as a direct challenge to the country’s military rulers. Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports from Cairo.
