Government constitutes another committee to investigate Nadipur project delay losses: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, Jul 23 (APP): The PML-N government has constituted an another committee for investigating delay losses to national exchequer of Nadipur hydroelectricity power project. “We have constituted another committee headed by Lt Gen (Retd) Shahid Niyaz for probing the losses of over Rs.11 billion due to delay in the Nadipur Hydroelectric power project and fix the responsibility who were responsible for the delay and the losses”, Ahsan Iqbal Minister for Planning and Development told media after attending an Iftar cum dinner hosted by the Huwaei company China in Pakistan here at a local hotel this evening.


He added that the Committee would submit its report within a week to Prime Minister.
“Our government will never compromise on transparency and show zero tolerance for corruption in the development projects”, he remarked.
He termed the delay in the hydroelectric projects like Neelum Jehlum and Nadipur as “Criminal negligence on the part of previous government
