Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s USA visit focused on the issues of reviving Economy, Terrorism, US cooperation to solve Energy crisis of Pakistan, enhancing Trade cooperation, Higher Education Scholarships and striking a balance in the bilateral relationship.
Apart from US President Barack Obama, PM Nawaz Sharif separately met John Kerry US Secretary of State, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, Former U.S. Secretary of State Ms. Madeleine Albright currently serving as Chair of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Ed Royce (Rep) Chairman House Affairs Committee, Dr. Jim Yong Kim President World Bank, US Congressmen and was welcomed by Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He met US Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter, United States Trade Representative (USTR) Michael Froman and Dr. Ernest Moniz U.S. Secretary of Energy. The PM’s separate meetings with the concerned show his endeavour to resolve all issues simultaneously
