There has been a tremendous progress today with regard to Nandipur Power Project as the process of transportation of machinery for Nandipur Power Project, which had been lying at Karachi Port for the last many years, has been started which would be completed within ten days without any break. It may be noted that this project was scheduled to be completed in 2011 but due to wrong policies and non-serious attitude of the previous government, the project could not be completed on time.
CM Shahbaz Sharif persuaded Chinese Company to restart the work on Nandipur Power Project during his recent visit to China, which was a major breakthrough. Chinese engineers have made commitment to complete this project within one- and-a-half year but the CM is determined to get it completed within a year inshaaAllah. As much as 425MW of electricity would be added to the national grid after completion of this project.
